Nonpartisan Conservation District Election

Upper Chattahoochee River Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor

The Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission's election notice says Forsyth County voters will elect one nonpartisan supervisor on November 3. District supervisors are unpaid state officials who support local soil and water conservation work.

Forsyth County's April 2026 election-board minutes confirm that one candidate qualified, but the public minutes do not name that candidate. Confirm the candidate's name on your official sample ballot through Forsyth County or the Georgia My Voter Page.

Proposed Constitutional Amendments

Georgia lawmakers approved three proposed constitutional amendments for voter consideration. The items below are organized by legislative resolution number. Confirm their ballot numbering and wording on your official sample ballot.

HR 32 — Conservation Use Property Acreage

This proposal would raise the maximum acreage a single owner may qualify for conservation-use assessment and taxation from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres. The resolution describes the purpose as protecting family farmland.

  • A yes vote supports adding the higher 4,000-acre limit to the Georgia Constitution.
  • A no vote opposes the amendment and leaves the constitutional limit at 2,000 acres.
  • Read the official HR 32 resolution.

HR 251 — Nonpartisan Probate Judge Elections

The proposed amendment asks whether all Georgia probate court judges should be elected in nonpartisan elections.

  • A yes vote supports a constitutional requirement that every probate judge election be nonpartisan.
  • A no vote opposes adding that statewide requirement to the Georgia Constitution.
  • Read the official HR 251 resolution.

HR 1243 — Georgia Next Generation 9-1-1 Fund

This proposal would authorize the General Assembly to dedicate certain existing or reallocated revenues to a nonlapsing fund used exclusively for expanding, maintaining, and operating emergency 9-1-1 systems, including the transition to Next Generation 9-1-1.

  • A yes vote supports adding that funding authority and restricted-use fund to the Georgia Constitution.
  • A no vote opposes the constitutional amendment.
  • Read the official HR 1243 resolution.
