Shuchita Bhardwaj Patel is the Democrat candidate for Forsyth County Commission District 3 in Forsyth County, Georgia. Patel is a first-generation American, born in Detroit, Michigan. Her family moved to Georgia in 1993, where she attended Fulton County schools and graduated from Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek. Her campaign site says she works as a finance professional with 15 years in financial planning and analysis, controllership, and compliance. She is running on budgeting, accountability, transparency, and conflict-of-interest issues. Identity politics is also a major part of her platform; she says "families who look like mine ... deserve a seat at the table."
